My New York Fashion Week Fashion Diary

| Fashion

I was at New York Fashion Week last week, so I want to tell you guys all about the trends in my closet that I’m living for right now.

PLAID

Every time I wear plaid, I feel like Cher from “Clueless.” Especially the yellow dress that I wore recently here. For fall, I’m wearing a long-sleeved, sheer top and a fun plaid coat from House of Harlow, Nicole Richie’s line for Revolve.

HIGH-WAISTED SKIRTS

I’m loving the high-waisted short-skirt trend. I wore this beautiful skirt I got from Revolve to Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty fashion show. I also wore the other skirt below, by Grlfrnd Denim, also from Revolve. I love that the high waist gives my 9-months-post-baby body some support. I also love wearing short skirts ‘cause I get to show off my legs.

COWBOY BOOTS

Cowboy boots are in this fall, and I see them staying in style for spring and summer when the music festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach roll around. At NYFW, I wore these cute cowboy boots from one of my favorite designers: Rebecca Minkoff. I got them in white because I wanted to make my outfit pop for the ‘gram. They also have a suede version in black and brown.

PUFFY SLEEVES

Puffy romantic sleeves are the way to go for this fall. From this cool shirt I got from
Fwrd to this Zimmerman dress. When it comes to tops, it’s all about covering up and letting the shoulders do all the talking.

STATEMENT SHOES

This fall, it’s all about having fun with your shoes. It’s not so much about putting simple shoes on your feet but more about having fun with the shoes and making a bold statement. I love these shoes from Nora Aytch that I wore in New York.

What do you guys think about this look?
