Eyebrows are one of the most important features of your face. I remember the first time I met the queen of eyebrows, Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills. She told me that the eyebrows are the architect of the face. That’s why I’ve been rethinking my approach to my own brows recently.
I’ve gotten a lot of messages from people asking me if I’ve changed the shape of my eyebrows, and the answer is yes! I’ve been working for the past year to grow out my eyebrows and change their shape. I’m loving the eyebrow revolution that’s taken place. Now it’s all about that bushy eyebrow shape.
Something I’ve been trying is applying castor oil to my eyebrows because, supposedly, it helps stimulate hair growth. But, to be honest, I don’t know if it’s helped. I can’t tell if the castor oil has made any difference because I need to keep filling in my eyebrows. Another tip I found online for stimulating hair growth suggests gently massaging exfoliator around the brows to increase blood flow to the hair follicles.
I’ve also been penciling my eyebrows daily because, when I do, I’m less prone to pick out my eyebrows by myself. Two of my favorite products to use for filling out my brows are by Anastasia Beverly Hills: the Dipbrow eyebrow pomade and the Brow Wiz eyebrow pencil in medium brown.
There are some approaches to eyebrow maintenance that I haven’t gotten into. I know a lot of people have been microblading. I’ve contemplated doing it myself to fill in areas where I need help, but a lot of professionals have told me not to microblade because of the risks. Some other people I know have been doing Browtox. Have you guys heard of this? Browtox is basically putting Botox in your eyebrows to lift the brows and give you a youthful look. Some people say that Browtox has helped their brows look more symmetrical.
I also have some friends who have tried hair transplants on their eyebrows, but the results haven’t been pretty.
I am using some of the brow products below to help me get my brows picture-perfect every single day. Lately I’ve been spending more time doing my eyebrows than any other part of my face. Sometimes I work on just my brows and leave the house without even bothering to put on makeup. If your eyebrows look good, sometimes that’s all you need!
