“I am constantly talking about dreaming big,” said three-time Golden Globe nominee Gina Rodriguez. She was back at the second annual Moët Film Festival, jump-starting a big week in Hollywood.

I remember being brought to tears when I saw Gina win the Golden Globe Award for her role on Jane the Virgin three years ago. She talked about being a minority and made girls like myself believe “I can do this!” When I caught up with her at the Moët event at the Doheny Room, I had to ask her, are you dreaming bigger? Can you dream big? It was interesting to see how Gina believes that dreams can change and evolve and yes, get even BIGGER! “Currently, my dreaming big is working on human connection. Life moves fast and you really need to stop and enjoy experiences as human beings,” she said.

Gina is a breath of fresh air, to be honest. She is SO sweet and humble, but there’s also no filter with her; she is as real as it gets. I had to ask her if she’s ever had a Hollywood diva meltdown.  She said, “Yes, everyone has had a diva moment. It never has anything to do with eyelashes and makeup and clothes. I get caught up in the idea about how things are supposed to be. On my show, I working 15-hours a day, and I think, ‘Oh, my life should be easy.’ Then I stop and realize that oh, we are all humans! And you can ask anybody, I am the first person to apologize to anyone that I am at fault with.”
